Winter2Space3 is a large-scale video installation accompanied by live improvised music by Off-Shoots classical quintet.  The video is set in a snow storm, large (computer generated, 3D) snowflakes swirl against a night sky. As the viewer moves in front of the screen a motion detector sends a signal to specially developed software prompting the snow flakes to sway and change direction as if by a gust of wind.   These movements form an open-ended score for the Off-Shoots music.  Off-Shoots are positioned upstairs in the bar of the gallery where a CCTV monitor transmits the action from the gallery.  The music is then piped back into the gallery space creating a looping circut of sound and image that is continuously responding and improvising.
